Laser tracker is a high-tech measuring unit based on tracking principle when tracking special angle reflector with a laser beam. The laser beam emitted by the unit goes back to the lens when it gets in the center of angle reflector, and after that it goes to distance meter receiver. Considering two angles and distances it is possible to calculate actual special coordinates of the reflector (for example, X, Y, Z). Coordinates can be obtained both in static and dynamic mode.

Faro Prime arm.
Mobile measuring machine, arm- type, is a measuring unit composing of basement to be mounted on any plane surface or rested on a handy tripod and several articulated elbows. Every articulated joint is equipped with angular movement transducers advising PCs of elbows mutual arrangement. The software calculates coordinates of measuring probe being an end of the arm in real time mode.
The unit operates in sphere, with probe having an easy access to every point inside the sphere. The arm is not motorized, translation of measuring probe and recording of measuring point are done manually, by operator.
A six-axial measuring arm ensures the highest level of accuracy of linear and angle dimensions as compared to other universal arms. FARO Prime arm is equipped with wireless communication according to Bluetooth standard, and battery cell is of extended capacity. Probes of different types increase opportunities of measurements in hard to reach places.
Main technical specifications of the FARO PRIME arm:
Working area - 3.7 m
Repeatability - 0.060 mm
The error of linear measurements is ± 0.085 mm
